Angus Cloud, best known for his role as heroin dealer Fezco "Fez" O'Neill in HBO's "Euphoria," died Monday in Oakland, California. He was 25.
The Oakland Fire Department stated that it responded to a medical emergency about 11:30 a.m., adding that the patient was "already deceased." According to the fire department, the cause of death was unknown. The Oakland Police Department acknowledged that the case is still a "active death investigation."
"It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today," Cloud's family stated in a statement. "Angus was special to all of us in so many ways as an artist, a friend, a brother, and a son." He buried his father last week and suffered greatly with his grief. The only solace we have is that Angus has been reunited with his father, who was his best friend. Angus was honest about his struggles with mental health, and we hope that his death would serve as a reminder to others that they are not alone, and that they should not fight this alone and in secret."
